Washington DC – The World Bank has recently published its report "Doing Business 2012" comparing 183 countries.Ten topics are included in the aggregate ranking on the ease of doing business and other summary measures. The goal is to provide an objective basis for understanding and improving the regulatory environment for business.
Malaysia has moved up five notches to 18th place in the Report 2012, ahead of economies such as Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Switzerland. This is also a result of the work of a Special Taskforce to Facilitate Business (PEMUDAH) which has been installed in year 2007 with the goal to address bureaucracy in business-government dealings.
