Kuala Lumpur – The recently published Human Development Report 2010 of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) shows the ranking of Malaysia as 57th out of 169, which is considered as “High Developent Level”, and shows an improvement of 9 ranks since the last report.

The Human Development Index is a composite statistic and separate (high development), (middle development), and (low development) countries. The statistic is composed from data on life expectancy, education, and per-capita GDP (as an indicator of standard of living) collected at the national level.
